Couts Heating & Cooling, Inc. has a group of skilled Detailers with years of field experience and the technical skills to excel in Building Information Modeling (BIM), allowing design and construction teams to work efficiently. Our Detailers have performed BIM Lead operations on several projects, helping bring coordination of all major trades into one buildable 3D model.

With completion dates being critical to Client operations, our Detailers are key to getting our projects started productively and keeping the flow of construction moving with ongoing coordination throughout.

Couts is proficient in installing and servicing various Building Automation Systems and technologies.

We install and service systems across Carrier, Johnson Controls, Daikin, Siemens, Trend, Novar, Pelican, and more.

The Special Projects Department can manage all mechanical system modifications, working in conjunction with our highly experienced Piping, Controls, and Sheet Metal Departments to provide equipment replacement, central plant retrofits, zone additions, system corrections, energy enhancements, process piping systems, and digital control and energy management systems. We are set up to provide turnkey services as the prime contractor, managing the entire project from conceptual design to commissioning.

Couts understands that existing facilities require specialized mechanical retrofit services. Our Special Projects Department was developed to fill this niche, allowing us to more completely serve our wide base of customers. We provide full mechanical design and construction services for retrofit projects, whether small or large.

Couts Heating & Cooling, Inc. has some of the best Sheet Metal Foreman in the industry, most developed from within through Apprenticeship and led by a strong Superintendent who is well established throughout the industry. Our crews are experienced in OSHPD, DSA, County, and City Codes and Practices. Some of our projects include Hospitals, Colleges, High Schools, K-8, Performing Arts, Arenas, Resorts, Public Works, and County and City Facilities.

Our field personnel are trained in the newest technology, including Navisworks and Bluebeam for onsite collaboration with other trades. Couts has trained techs operating Trimble Equipment for digital layouts coordinated through our in-house detailing department using BIM.

We also have a TABB Certified Tech and Certified Structural Welders to handle any project requirements, and all Couts employees receive safety training and certifications including OSHA 30, Fall Protection, Rigging, Forklift, and Aerial Lift. Our team is dedicated to making sure not only Couts is successful, but all Contractors we work with are successful. Couts believes it takes a total team effort among all trades to truly make a successful project.

Couts has the experience to provide a wide variety of service for a multitude of equipment manufacturers, and our Union-trained Technicians continue their education with manufacturer and specialty product training as we strive to exceed our customers' expectations.

Couts' Piping Department prides itself on skilled, top notch employees who put safety and training first. Many of our Superintendents, General Foreman, and Foreman have been developed from within since Apprenticeship, which gives us some of the strongest crews in the business. We provide our crews with the equipment required to work effectively and efficiently, making us a one-stop shop from pre-insulated underground piping to high bay distribution.
